We are thrilled to announce that Recyclops, Inc. has officially achieved B-Corp certification, solidifying our commitment to social and environmental responsibility. What is B-Corp Certification?

B Corps, or Benefit Corporations, are businesses that go through an extensive process to evaluate and exceed rigorous standards of social and environmental performance, accountability, and transparency. This certification goes beyond traditional business metrics by considering the company’s impact on its employees, customers, community, and the environment. It’s an affirmation of our commitment to go above and beyond to balance purpose and profit, working to benefit all stakeholders, from employees and customers to the environment and society at large.

Our Journey to B-Corp Certification

The road to becoming a B-Corp was not only about meeting specific criteria but also about aligning our core values with our business practices. Throughout this transformative journey, we’ve taken substantial steps to enhance our sustainability efforts, employee well-being, community engagement, and more. We firmly believe that business can be a force for good, and this certification is a testament to our ongoing commitment.

KEY HIGHLIGHTS

1. Sustainable Operations: We’ve made significant strides in reducing our carbon footprint, minimizing waste, and adopting eco-friendly practices across our operations.

Our method of using pickup trucks/trailers/large SUVs and bagging the recyclable material allows for 7x less emissions than conventional waste collection trucks and cuts down on recycling cross contamination. Once the items are debagged, we ship them back where possible for the bags to be recycled as well.

2. Employee Welfare: Our employees are our most valuable asset. We’ve invested in their well-being, fostering a positive work environment, offering growth opportunities, and promoting work-life balance.

Recyclops is the best company I have worked for. The remote work environment means that I can be at home and raise my kids which is near and dear to my heart as a mom. Everyone that I work with is extremely kind, understanding, supportive, and transparent in their day-to-day tasks. I found a stronger passion in sustainability and caring for our beautiful planet after working with Recyclops as well.
