Driver Showcase: Meet Gary and Debbi.

Find out more about Gary and Debbi’s journey as Recyclops Drivers here.

Gary and Debbie are Recyclops drivers that came out of retirement to do something that made them feel good. They believe that recycling is a very important part of creating a habitat that is hospitable and healthy for humans and wildlife.

At home, they have created a wildlife habitat for bees and other pollinators. Their yard has been certified as a wildlife conservation habitat by the National Wildlife Federation!

Gary and Debbie
“You see, we like this earth and we love the farmers that feed us. Without a healthy pollinator population, there will be no food for any of us. Rather than purchasing a beehive, we have opted to feed the native populations of bees with native plant species.”
“At home, we have and continue to build a more sufficient food forest in our yard. Not for food for us, though we do harvest some. Mostly we focus on creating wildlife habitats for bees and other pollinators. In fact, our yard has been certified as a wildlife conservation habitat by the National Wildlife Federation.”
“This likewise feeds butterflies, moths and many, many nectar-eating birds. We saw our first squirrels in the yard. We built this home in 1994, the first squirrels visited in 2021. So we are changing a corner to grow forage. Perhaps one day they will move in a season and raise some babies.”
Gary and Debbi’s Journey with Recyclops:
“Recyclops was a game-changer for us. We discovered we had to get into better shape and we discovered hidden nooks, so beautiful we never knew they existed.”
“When we started working for Recyclops, we were coming out of retirement and wanted a job that made us “feel good” at the end of the day. There is a reason we retired from the 160+ hour work weeks. We didn’t know what we were doing, we just knew it was a “feel good” moment to know, we were able to help redirect recycling items away from our communities landfill.”
“Recyclops is the type of company that is local workers and local communities working together for a better tomorrow….for everyone, and everyone alike. – I never believed a company would emerge in these modern times that embraced locals like this. It is our deepest honor to be a part of Recyclops and the Vision Recyclops has for a better world, everywhere.”
Why Recycling with Recyclops is Important to Gary and Debbi:
“Recycling is a very important part of creating habitat that is hospitable and healthy for human-wildlife habitat. We know we personally could recycle more vigilantly. – The more the community recycles with Recyclops the healthier the landfill and more jobs staying within the community”
“Recyclops is the type of company that forged the United States into what it was. Strong local communities all working together, at the local level. This makes Recyclops the type of company that will help rebuild America to what it can be again.”

Recyclops is proud to have amazing drivers like Gary and Debbi and we look forward to seeing their continued success and journey with Recyclops unfold.
